It’s a very popular spot for swimming, canoeing, and kayaking. The falls are beautiful, and you can occasionally see them cascading down boulders during certain times of the year. Furthermore, the river itself can be found in the Beaver Bend Resort Park in McCurtain County. The Beavers Bend Waterfall is part of the Mountain Fork River. The trail is only half a mile long which makes it a good hike for kids. Be aware that this area can get a little crowded during that time of the year.Īlong with the falls, you can also visit the Travertine Nature Center or take a walk on the Prairie Loop Trail. The water in these ponds can be a little chilly, making them a great place to cool off during the summer.
